Within two blog posts she manages to write 3,600 words. This is not uncommon throughout the blog, and she seems to post almost every day.
Words. I fear they’re becoming an underappreciated element of the Internet, a threatened species of the 2.0 age. Images and video take the spotlight while words mope behind the scenes picking up what work it still can (increasingly, as sidekick to images). Instead it’s “text,” “copy” or worse yet, “filler.” What happened to sentences and prose? Forgive me for being old-fashioned; and for this blog’s dowdy, no-frills theme, that pays almost no attention to anything but words, except for some (mostly lifted?) images.
In a reverse sense, finding a blog like this is somewhat refreshing. I do not know this person. But after 10,000 words or so, you kind of do.
