I find it fascinating that the embryos of every single plant, and even humans, share the same shape. Once it leaves the seed, it’s no longer called an embryo but a sprout, or seedling, and it will begin growing its own uniquely shaped leaves and fruits. But the first leaves of every one, like these radishes, look like this.

Can you tell which leaf was the embryo of this cauliflower plant?
